    Job Description


    American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of recent MRI experience and national certification for a 12-hour night shift position.

    Responsibilities

    • Work in a Level I adult and pediatric trauma teaching hospital
    • Radiology department serves 40-45 patients per day including adults and pediatrics from ED, ICUs, nursing units, and outpatients
    • Use Siemens 1.5T MRI magnets
    • EPIC EMR is utilized in the department
    • 12-hour night shifts with staffing based on contract coverage needs
    • Call is shared among full time, part time, PRN, and travelers on a fair rotation
    • No floating required
    • No rotation between weekends and weekdays; travelers remain on assigned shifts per contract
    • Travelers are expected to provide holiday coverage unless approved off in advance
    • 13-week contract assignments
    • Perform a full spectrum of MRI exams for both adult and pediatric patients from ED, ICUs, nursing units, and outpatient settings
    • Join a department with a diverse team, supported by lead techs, modality supervisors, and imaging managers
    • Five-day departmental orientation provided, with flexibility based on traveler needs
    • Free parking available in several decks
    • Department culture emphasizes strong teamwork, communication, and clinical skills
    • Facility tour and departmental introductions provided at orientation
    • First-time travelers are welcome

    Requirements

    • ARRT(R) or NMTCB certification and ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT required
    • BLS certification required
    • Minimum 1 year of recent experience in MRI
    • Experience in fast-paced, high-acuity environments preferred
    • Ability to work with both adult and pediatric patients
    • Black scrubs required
    • EPIC EMR experience preferred
    • Professional reference from a recent supervisor, manager, director, or charge RN within the last year required
    • Must provide last 4 digits of SSN and full DOB for consideration
    • License required if applicable
    • Not open to local candidates within 50 miles (radius rule applies)
    • Returning employees must have at least 1 year separation after permanent employment
