The MRI Technologist performs procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards. Operates MRI Scanners and associated equipment with a high level of proficiency.Responsibilities
Examines requests and verifies orders on each assigned patient. Refers questions to Radiologists before performing exams. Prepares patients for procedures with explanations documents medical history reviews in-patients ER outpatients EMR's obtains pertinent clinical history records medical history on requisitions correlates other test results laboratory data evaluates technical quality images consults Radiologists recognizes abnormal anatomy processes additional reconstructed images measurements as instructed performs basic patient care functions maintains work area neat orderly fashion keeps area stocked cleans all work areas promotes cleanliness workplace assists other medical personnel anesthesia performing exams services conjunction MRI scan maintains knowledge MRI safety requirements staff patients magnetic fieldsJob description
