***: The Sanitation Lead Technician is responsible for performing cleaning and sanitation tasks to ensure Sanitation Standard Operation Procedures (SSOP) are met.


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Clean and sanitize production equipment, machines, and work areas to establish a clean, sanitized, and safe working environment.


General Sanitation

  • Lead and oversee the performance of the sanitation technicians.
  • Organize and prepare cleaning chemicals and sanitizers with the correct chemical concentrations needed for proper sanitation and in compliance with manufactured and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure safe chemical storage and manage chemical accidents.
  • Clean, sweep, mop, scrub, and sanitize the production facility environment and the outside of the facility, including but not limited to, floors, walls, equipment, overheads, ceilings, restrooms, locker rooms, break/lunchrooms, offices and desks, docks and dock plates, tanks, filtration systems, centrifuges, drains, sumps, votators, hoses, trash cans, and powered industrial vehicles,
  • Verify sanitation effectiveness by conducting preoperational inspections and ATP swabs.
  • Disassemble production equipment as needed to achieve desired cleanliness.
  • Assist with the reassembly of equipment after cleaning.
  • Maintain and develop the company's Master Sanitation Schedule and collaborate with other team members to plan and execute the Master Sanitation Schedule's tasks.
  • Spread herbicide throughout the yard and cut unwanted foliage.
  • Spread insecticide throughout the perimeter of the facility to reduce insect activity.
  • Replace Pesticide Controls (TinCats, Glue Traps, and UV lights) as needed.
  • Maintain cleaning chemical and supply inventory.

General

  • Assist with the relabeling of products.
  • Assist with the sorting of bad versus good packaging materials.
  • Conduct GMP and Operational Sanitation Walkthroughs.
  • Conduct Internal Facility Audits and write work orders for deficiencies found.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


Education and Experience
Any combination of education and experience likely to provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities, typically:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 13 years' experience of handson sanitation experience cleaning food contact surfaces in a manufacturing facility.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
