Description

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Referral, intake and admission of clients. Crisis intervention. Record keeping including charts and log book. Process discharged clients. Oversee custodial needs of in house clients such as laundry and assisting in maintaining an orderly and clean environment. Assist with preparation of meals when necessary. Leading groups and related duties as assigned. Provide emergency first aid/CPR assistance when needed.


QUALIFICATIONS:

H.S. Diploma or GED required. Knowledge of the addiction/recovery process; knowledge of group process; bilingual preferred. Basic computer literacy required. CPR training certification or willingness to take training class in CPR.


Must be fully vaccinated

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

BRC's Chemical Dependency Crisis Center (CDCC) offers 32 beds of supportive inpatient detoxification services for homeless men and women.

These services are licensed by NYS Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services and funded by the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.

The CDCC program provides medical services, individual and group motivational counseling, didactic health and substance abuse education, and therapeutic activities.

In December 2014, CDCC added medically supervised withdrawal services its existing medically monitored withdrawal services, allowing the program to serve clients with a broader range of medical needs.

Pay:
$17.66 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
