As a Bachelor of Arts with a focus on Social Work, you will be placed in social work teams in various offices such as the Youth Welfare Office


Your tasks will include:

  • Counseling
  • Biographical work
  • Decision-making based on laws The course of the training The 7-semester dual study program combines study and training and prepares you for your future work. Theory phases take place at the Fliedner University of Applied Sciences in Düsseldorf Practice phases take place in various (social) offices
  • You will be placed, for example, in the Social Service, School Social Work, in municipal children and youth leisure centers, and in the foster care service
  • Internships and assignments in other departments are possible
  • Here you will learn, among other things, to apply legal knowledge and conversation skills in practice, as well as how to handle biographical work, different (developmental) psychological diagnoses, abuse and neglect. Graduation Upon successful completion, you will receive a European-wide recognized degree with the academic title Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).
