    Who we're looking for:

    We are seeking a Linux Engineer for a potential opportunity. The ideal candidate will have expert-level experience managing Linux systems at an enterprise scale. They should have significant experience deploying and supporting Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments, including the use of Red Hat Satellite and Ansible. The Linux Engineer will possess a strong understanding of scripting, automation, and the creation of code base solutions to configure systems. Employment for this position is dependent on the successful award of the contract.

    What you'll be doing:

    • Design, implement, and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers and RHEL Satellite.
    • Develop, manage, and run Ansible playbooks to automate system configurations.
    • Deploy and support Red Hat Satellite for managing RHEL environments.
    • Perform system administration tasks including installation, configuration, and maintenance of Linux servers.
    • Produce high-quality technical documentation, including technical diagrams and procedures.
    • Respond to and resolve escalated trouble tickets to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
    • Participate in planning and design sessions, providing expertise on Linux-related projects and solutions.
    • Ensure the uptime and performance of Linux servers, and proactively address potential issues.
    • Work collaboratively with other technical teams to support enterprise-class solutions.

    What you need to know:

    • Extensive hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Red Hat Satellite.
    • Strong understanding of automation and scripting using Ansible.
    • Proven track record of leading successful deployments of enterprise-class Linux solutions.
    • Ability to produce detailed technical documents and engineering diagrams.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

    Must have's:

    • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in managing Linux systems at an enterprise level.
    • Certifications in Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or equivalent.
    • Experience with and working knowledge of building and running Ansible playbooks and creating code base solutions to configure systems.
    • Ability to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance as required by the agency.
