The general responsibilities of the
Tutor are to provide intensive and collaborative services for the elementary and/or middle school.

The tutor, will serve as a complement staff member reporting to the program director in order to assist with Support services inside of the school while school day for the students in his/her education endeavors, will utilize the resources of the ACDP Program.


The salary for the Tutor is $15 - $18/per hour based on relevant experience.

KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


  • Provide academic and program assistance to assigned areas of school serving students.
  • Serve as aides and assist program staff with halls and Cafeteria duties
  • Attend periodic training sessions given by the ACDP program to increase competency in working with students.
  • Be responsible for maintaining records on each student (When Instructed) who is being tutored, including followup and periodic assessment.
  • Provide the support of evaluations and other reports as requested by the ACDP Site Program Director.
  • Help develop a high level of motivation, selfconfidence, raise selfconcept, and reduce anxiety or fear of failure in academic work.
  • Help students and teachers or instructors with instructional needs including supporting the study skills necessary for academic success.
  • Assist in supervision classrooms and Program areas and help with cooperative projects.
  • Promote and support ACDP's mission and vision as well as School's goals.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.

EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma required; College Preferred:

Bilingual Spanish required:

- _2 years of school and youth development experience working with youth preferred_

  • Analytical, Communication and Organizational skills
