    We are excited to offer you a Full-Time Overnight position at our Lowell 2 house in Shenandoah, Iowa. The working hours are from 10 pm to 7 am on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

    **Supported Community Living Specialist (SCLS)**

    Part-Time/Full-Time Para-Professional Position

    • Teach, train, and assist individuals in developing essential daily living skills.
      • Coordinate health and medical needs.
      • Train individuals in managing their health needs.
      • Develop and maintain community participation skills.
      • Assist in accessing community services independently.
      • Advocate for individual rights and needs.
      • Collaborate on personalized diet plans.
      • Create Individualized Intervention Plans.
      • Provide emergency and safety training.
      • Offer budgeting and transportation assistance.
      • Train in various daily living skills.
    • Orient new individuals in their home and assess their progress.
    • Supervise and track individual goals and financial management.
    • Provide a supportive and therapeutic environment.
    • Train new staff on duties and policies.
    • Ensure cleanliness and safety of individual residences.
    • Keep all individual information confidential.

    Essential Functions:

    • Deliver quality care and support.
    • Transport individuals as needed.
    • Teach daily living skills and maintain housekeeping standards.
    • Handle behavioral challenges with care.
    • Administer medication responsibly, when required.

    Qualifications/Requirements:

    • 18 years of age or older.
    • Preferably have a high school diploma or GED.
    • Prior experience in teaching daily living skills.
    • Hold a valid Iowa Chauffeur's license.
    • Ability to work with individuals displaying behavioral challenges.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Self-motivated and good at team collaboration.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Be able to travel up to 70 miles.
    • Perform physical duties and household tasks efficiently.
    • Assist individuals with mobility and personal care needs.
    • Handle snow removal for safety purposes.
