- Define and deliver capital improvement projects for the facility and support other staff in delivery of their projects
- Define and implement a maintenance plan that that includes preventative, corrective, and reliability maintenance procedures
- Collaborate with EHS, IT, Procurement, Human Resources and other teams for seamless delivery of projects and services, resulting in excellent customer experience and minimal disruption to operations
- Apply management of change processes to ensure successful improvement implementations
- Deliver engineering and automation services to scientists and engineers to support process and product development
- Ensure compliance of the building with all regulatory laws. Responsible for alerting R&D Director of building discrepancies
- Responsible for oversight of project and maintenance contractors, contractor safety, and contractor site access
- Handle portfolio of contracted services and maintenance contracts
- Maintain compliance and permitting with city, county, state, and federal applicable laws.
- Manage site maintenance technician and automation engineer
- Oversite of contracted IT staff to ensure excellent trouble resolution and project implementation
- Ensure accurate documentation of all infrastructure and compliance documentation for the building including up to-date drawings and single-lines
- Support office/space planning initiatives
- Measure and respond to site feedback throughout the year
- Work closely with the R&D EHS Manager and support compliance to Novelis safety guidelines, state, and federal laws.
- Manage site maintenance technician, automation engineer, and facilities lead, provide skip level management to Shipping and receiving coordinator and Procurement coordinator.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of proven experience in facility maintenance and operations management within a corporate environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and management skills to balance multiple priorities
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of maintenance processes, engineering practices, and critical building systems
- Consistent track record of success in service delivery, project delivery, and facilities maintenance management
- Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA, OSHA, and ASHRAE codes and standards.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Construction Management.
- CMRP, PMP, or other relevant certifications.
- 10 years of demonstrated experience in facility maintenance and operations management within a corporate environment.

The Novelis Kennesaw team is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Leader, who will be accountable for maintenance, upgrades and capital projects at the Novelis Global Research and Technology Center in Kennesaw, GA. The role will drive strategy planning, project delivery, and reliability centered maintenance for laboratory and pilot-scale manufacturing facilities, as well as office areas. The role will lead external contractors providing services supporting the operation of the facility as well as the applicable regulatory compliance with the city, state, and federal authorities (fire suppression, city water supply and discharge, power, . The Facilities Maintenance Leader and their team are also responsible for facility planning, capital project delivery, automation, reliability, and maintenance planning/execution.
