- Surgeries in morning and see patients in afternoon for consultations.
- 8:304:00, treating patient and consultants and resident training.
- Every other Monday there are surgeries (Mon/Tues/Wed/Thurs or Mon/Tues/Wed) the alternate weeks are Tues-Fri or Tues-Thurs. Facilitate educational sessions with the residents on Thurs and/or Fri.
- Support staff: Optometric Technicians (trained in retina), tester/photographer, glaucoma doc, peds ophthalmologist on staff, and neuro ophthalmologist
- Patients per day: volumes: on avg seeing about 25 patients.
- Patient population/age: primarily 60yrs +, there are peds ophthalmologist on staff, and nuero ophthalmologist.
- EMR: Modernizing Medicine
- Special procedures: Retina
- Skills required: retina tares, ruptured globes. May scrub in w/ the cornea specialist, but not a requirement. Must be willing to work with residents and providing them educational sessions.
- Surgery Center, Hospital, and office
- Board Certification: BC required. Fellowship.
- State license required: MD or IMLC license.
- Minimum experience required: 2 years.
