- Accepts and processes all customer transactions: verify cash and endorsements, receive proper identification for cash back and issue receipts of deposit. Examine checks deposited and determine proper funds availability based on regulation requirements and complete hold notices. Accept loan payments: verify payment amount and issue receipts.
- Cash checks: Verify endorsement, receive proper identification and ensure validity. Follow appropriate procedures for cashing non-customer checks.
- Balances drawer daily and meets teller-balancing standards, including periodic batching of cashed checks. Identify counterfeit currency. Buy and sell currency from the vault as necessary, ensuring that teller drawer cash limits are not exceeded. Maintain appropriate currency logs.
- Answers basic customer inquiries regarding service charges and account histories while complying with disclosure requirements, regulations and consumer privacy policies.
- Possesses knowledge of bank products and services and actively cross-sells services to customers to meet the bank's overall growth goals.
- Maintains a professional manner, demonstrates team commitment, maintains a neat workstation, and maintains an adequate amount of supplies (including coin & currency) at workstation.
- Operates check-processing scanners to image and balance all incoming transactions on a daily basis.
- Actively assists in achieving bank goals.
