GENERAL DESCRIPTION


The Early Childhood Resource Network Family-Based Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting and enhancing the quality of family child care providers within Region 6.

This position involves outreach, coordination, and facilitation of various initiatives, aimed at empowering and educating family child care providers to ensure optimal care and development for children in their care.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field or HS Diploma with a minimum of 7 years in the Early Childhood Field. Bilingual (Spanish) skills a plus.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in the early childhood education field, preferred administrative experience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Outreach and Engagement

  • Initiate and maintain regular communication with Family Child Care Providers, offering support, resources and guidance
  • Conduct outreach activities to identify and recruit new family child care providers
  • Collaborate with community organizations, agencies and stakeholder to promote the ECRN program and its benefits
ECRN Program Support

  • Serve as primary point of contact for Family Child Care providers partnering with the ECRN, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly and effectively
  • Provide guidance and assistance to providers in navigating the ECRN
  • Assist in coordinating and facilitating ECRNrelated activities, including professional development workshops, meetings, and networking events.
Provider Network Facilitation

  • Establish and maintain a network of Family Child Care Providers, fostering collaboration and community building
  • Organize regular provider meetings
  • Act as a liaison between family child care providers, other CAPSC staff/programs, and relevant stakeholders to advocate for the needs and interests of providers.
Other Tasks

  • Maintain accurate records of provider interactions, program participation, and outcomes using appropriate databases and software systems.
  • Assist the preparation of reports, summaries, and presentation to program funders, CAPSC directors and other relevant stake holders.
  • Assist in the development, implementation and continuous monitoring of program policies, procedures, and processes, ensuring program effectiveness and compliance.
  • Actively participate in ECRN strategic planning meeting
  • Assist with special projects as needed
  • Any other duty or project assigned by supervisor or Child & Family Services Director for the benefit of the program

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of CCLU rules and regulations
  • Knowledge of CAPSC mission, vision and values
  • Strong commitment to maintaining confidentiality
  • Adequate typing skills
  • Knowledge of multiline phone system
  • Excellent organization and time management skills with ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize and manage workload and deadlines
  • Excellent problemsolving skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to work flexible hours and travel when necessary.
  • Knowledge of and sensitivity to the unique challenges faced by families living in poverty.
  • Reliable source of transportation with 100/300 liability insurance coverage.
  • Physical strength/endurance/mobility to perform in a standard daily required work routine (i.e. walking, sitting, lifting, and driving to various sites as required).

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

  • Pleasant, articulate and able to communicate effectively with community, staff, volunteers, and families on a regular basis.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate instructions.
