    Job Description


    Job Description As a Traffic Engineer, your primary responsibility would be to ensure that information is communicated accurately, completely, and in a timely manner to clients and staff.


    Your key duties would include the following:

    • Analyzing traffic patterns and identifying ways to improve traffic control
    • Conducting safety studies and analyzing traffic data
    • Creating plans for traffic signals, pavement markings, roadway lighting, traffic control, and signing
    • Coordinating with clients and team members to manage project goals
    • Assisting with technical writing and preparing reports
    • Assembling and directing a project team, while maintaining effective communication with them.
    Qualifications


    • To qualify, you must have a license as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Traffic Engineer (TE) in California.
    • You should have experience working with traffic engineering design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, InRoads, and MicroStation.
    • You should also have experience with preparing DSDD packages and Caltrans permitting.
