About the Role:

We are seeking a Financial Accountant (f/m/d) to join our Financial Shared Services Center in Putzbrunn, near Munich.

In this role, you will be a part of our Accounting Team with a primary focus on the German legal entity.


Responsibilities:


  • Manage the general ledger for the German legal entity
  • Prepare and process journal entries
  • Complete monthend, quarterend, and yearend closing tasks
  • Reconcile and analyze balance sheet and P&L accounts
  • Collaborate closely with the team to ensure compliance with both local GAAP and US GAAP, working with business and financial/accounting leadership locally and globally
  • Ensure accurate accounting in areas such as reconciliations, revenue recognition, and valuation, while also analyzing fluctuations
  • Prepare and present quarterly reporting, annual global reporting package, and HGB financial statements
  • Support external audit activities for local statutory and US group audits
  • As a member of the Accounting Team, seek opportunities to align, standardize, and improve processes across all European entities
  • Identify areas for internal control and work towards solutions

Qualifications:


  • Business degree and/or professional accountancy qualification (i.e. Bilanzbuchhalter)
  • Relevant work experience of at least 5 years in an international company or audit firm
  • Technical accounting knowledge: HGB required, US GAAP / IFRS is a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs
