Job Summary:


Key Responsibilities:


  • Oversee the daily operations of the childcare center, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment for children.
  • Develop and implement educational programs and activities that promote the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual growth of each child.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise a team of qualified educators and support staff.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, staff, and the local community.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and local regulations, licensing requirements, and health and safety standards.
  • Manage the center's budget, resources, and enrollment processes working alongside our Finance Director to meet annual budget expectations and strategic goals.
  • Implement and uphold the center's policies and procedures.
  • Stay current with the latest trends and best practices in early childhood education and incorporate them into the center's programs.

Qualifications:


  • Master's degree in early childhood education, or the equivalent in a combination of education and experience (required)
  • Minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of experience directing an early education program (large centerbased experience preferred)
  • EEC Director II certification (required)
  • Indepth knowledge of child development principles, early childhood education curricula, and EEC regulations
  • Indepth knowledge of the CCFA (Childcare Financial Assistance) programs run by the Department of Early Education & Care
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
  • Proficiency in managing budgets and administrative tasks.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Clear background check and fingerprint clearance (BRC).
