Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the childcare center, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment for children.
- Develop and implement educational programs and activities that promote the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual growth of each child.
- Recruit, train, and supervise a team of qualified educators and support staff.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, staff, and the local community.
- Ensure compliance with all state and local regulations, licensing requirements, and health and safety standards.
- Manage the center's budget, resources, and enrollment processes working alongside our Finance Director to meet annual budget expectations and strategic goals.
- Implement and uphold the center's policies and procedures.
- Stay current with the latest trends and best practices in early childhood education and incorporate them into the center's programs.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in early childhood education, or the equivalent in a combination of education and experience (required)
- Minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of experience directing an early education program (large centerbased experience preferred)
- EEC Director II certification (required)
- Indepth knowledge of child development principles, early childhood education curricula, and EEC regulations
- Indepth knowledge of the CCFA (Childcare Financial Assistance) programs run by the Department of Early Education & Care
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
- Proficiency in managing budgets and administrative tasks.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Clear background check and fingerprint clearance (BRC).
