What You'll Bring:


  • 35 years experience in legal field, communications, policy management, project management or business analytics.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in law, business, risk management, or a related field of study.
  • Must be detail and deadline oriented; conscientiousness and accuracy are necessary for the success of this role and program.
  • Must be able to write, edit and revise policies and procedures, draft routine reports, and correspondence.
  • Demonstrated facilitation skills in large and small group settings and strong relationship management skills.
  • This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as inperson at an assigned TransUnion office location for a minimum of two days a week.

Impact You'll Make:


Program Execution & Development

  • Become an expert in the field of policy governance and related best practices.
  • Run the daily operations of the Policy Governance Program. This includes initiating policy reviews, incorporating edits into policy drafts, advancing policies, scheduling, and facilitating meetings with, and sending followup communications to reviewers/approvers.
  • Working with vendors for policy translations and publishing policies on internal websites.
  • Conduct biweekly Policy Status meetings with stakeholders from Legal, Compliance Advisory and Business Units leadership.
  • Work with US Legal team members and executive leadership to ensure the accuracy of policies.
  • Distribute completed Policies to appropriately identified associate audiences via the Learning Management System.
  • Participate as required in regulatory requests, exams, customer and internal audits, providing all necessary reports and documentation.
  • Address issues, identify better ways to perform work and develop solutions related to policy program practices in support of hitting Key Performance Indicators ("KPIs").
  • Must balance growing workload, competing demands and demonstrate ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.

Communication & Writing Skills

  • Organize and facilitate meetings with associates of all levels across the company, including executive leadership.
  • Effectively communicate and present policy recommendations, policy edits, policy content and policy governance concepts to policy reviewers and approvers. Format, proofread and provide detailed written recommendations around policy content for standard approval level policies. Incorporate edits from multiple parties into policy drafts.
  • Ensure clean, grammatically correct, well organized policy drafts are ready for presentation and approval by executive leadership.
  • Prepare summaries, reports and metrics for management, auditors, regulators, and executive leadership.
  • Develop and maintain detailed procedural documentation and training materials in support of program continuity and growth.

Systems and Data

  • Ensure policy reviews through entire lifecycle within C360 from the initiation of the review to the publishing of the policy. This involves learning mechanics of advancing workflows, uploading documents, and editing within the system, and other system related tasks.
  • Store policies in appropriate locations, provide accurate metadata for each policy and keep policy metadata updated.
  • Utilize C360 for generating ongoing and proactive reporting of program KPIs to leadership and for generating ad hoc reports/data, as requested.
  • Facilitate large and small group training on basic use of system.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance current policy management processes with C360 customizations, with goal of streamlining policy management processes, reporting, and improving the user experience.
