We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Psychologist/Psychosexual Risk Assessor to join our team.
This role involves conducting comprehensive psychosexual risk assessments for justice-involved offenders, providing treatment recommendations, and potentially representing findings in judicial proceedings.
This position requires a high level of expertise in forensic psychology or similar fields, with a strong emphasis on ethical considerations and sensitivity towards client confidentiality.
MAIN OBJECTIVES
- Conduct comprehensive psychosexual risk assessments.
- Provide treatment recommendations based on assessment findings.
- Prepare detailed reports and represent findings in court as required.
- Collaborate with other professionals and stakeholders to ensure comprehensive client care.
- Maintain professional knowledge and compliance with all legal and ethical standards.
SCHEDULE OF WORK
- The work schedule will be primarily during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, with occasional requirements to attend court proceedings.
PLACE OF PERFORMANCE
- Work will primarily be conducted at designated facilities within the Washington, DC area, with flexibility for some aspects of remote work as approved.
PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE
- The initial contract period will be 12 months, with potential for extension based on performance and contract requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ph.
D. in Psychology, preferably with a specialization in forensic psychology.
- Licensed to practice as a psychologist within the District of Columbia or eligible for licensure.
- Certification in psychosexual risk assessments and experience with forensic populations, specifically sexual offenders.
- Strong understanding of and adherence to ethical guidelines as outlined by relevant professional bodies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in report writing.
