    Description

    Remotely located applicants MUST HAVE 5-15 years of Experience in Electrical Design using Revit

    Must be situated within a 100-mile radius of Detroit, Michigan

    Role & Responsibilities:

    • Act as a project electrical engineer for the design, development, and documentation of primary power, secondary power, lighting, fire alarm, and other auxiliary systems on small to medium-sized projects
    • Assist lead project electrical engineer in the design, development, and documentation of primary power, secondary power, lighting, fire alarm, and other auxiliary systems on large and complex projects
    • Conduct necessary code reviews for assigned projects
    • Conduct product research as needed for project development
    • Participate in project team coordination meetings and Owner review meetings
    • Prepare materials for client presentations and review meetings
    • Present electrical system concepts/designs to clients and/or design review committees
    • Develop and modify project specifications
    • Review product shop drawings/submittals
    • Address requests for information (RFIs)
    • Inspect project construction sites to monitor progress
    • Create construction administration field observation reports
    • Establish and nurture relationships with both new and existing clients
    • Engage in continuous improvement efforts and identify ways to enhance quality, efficiency, and service. Follow through with implementing improvements

    Position Qualifications:

    • Graduate from an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) college or university with an Engineering degree, State of Michigan Licensed Professional Engineer is preferred
    • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
    • Extensive knowledge and experience in electrical design for commercial construction, building codes, and CAD concepts
    • Proficient in using computer-aided design, spreadsheets, and word processing programs (Microsoft Word & Excel)
    • 3+ years of 2D and 3D experience in AutoCAD preferred
    • LEED accreditation is advantageous; BIM experience is a plus
    • Able to consistently meet deadlines
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
