This individual will work as a liaison to elicit, analyze, communicate, and validate requirements for changes to processes, policies and information systems with other BQAs, configuration, system developers, infrastructure personnel, process managers, end users, plan sponsors, plan providers and vendors to ensure proposed solutions are delivered according to schedule and with the required functionality.

The analyst understands business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommends solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals.


Responsibilities:


  • Works directly with other BQAs, configuration, system developers, infrastructure personnel, process managers, and end users to coordinate and facilitate communication, develop solutions and deliver products as bug free as possible.
  • Maintains effective communication with software vendor and IT leadership to ensure that Network Health specifications for new functionality, identified system defects, and system implementation schedules are prioritized, resolved and implemented.
  • Acts as technological resource to the project team. Researches solutions, reporting findings to the team. Advises team on possible impact on other Network Health systems and processes.
  • Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, online screen, or content.
  • Utilizes System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies to review, write and edit documentation, ensuring technical accuracy, compliance, completeness and risk mitigation related to business and funcitonal requirements, technical specifications, use test cases and processes for proposed business solutions
  • Plans requirement, development, test, implementation, validation and maintenance schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates.
  • Tests system modifications to prepare for implementation and leads testing efforts ensuring issues are identified, tracked, reported on, and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Develops testing programs that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability.
  • Creates or maintains databases of known test defects. Documents software defects, monitors bug resolution efforts and tracks successes using a bug tracking system, and reports defects to other BQAs, software developers, project managers, business partners and IT management.
  • Advises, mentors, trains or assists BQAs and developers at other skill levels, as needed, to ensure timely releases of high quality code.
  • Promotes a servicefocused culture with emphasis on delivering ontime, highquality products and services to internal and external customers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:


  • Associate Degree or 4 years of equivalent experience required.
  • 3+ years' experience in a health insurance or health care related field,
  • 3+ years of combined experience in health care related system configuration, EDI or business analysis
  • SQL preferred
  • 3+ year of experience working with Cognizant, Optum or similar claims processing systems required.
**This position is a hybrid role. You will be required to work in the office 2-3 days per week and able to work remote from your home office the other days.
