The German Railway is not only one of the most important mobility service providers, but also one of the largest engineering offices in Germany. Currently, more than engineers work for us to realize and sustainably maintain new bridges, tunnels, train stations, tracks, and signal systems - but that's not nearly enough. As an engineer at the German Railway, you can plan, manage, or monitor something that will remain: the infrastructure for future generations.

At the earliest possible date, we are looking for you as a (Junior) Engineer for Network Management / Electrical Operations (m/f/d) for DB Energie GmbH at our Frankfurt (Main) location in our main control center (network control center).
Your tasks:
  • You are responsible for coordinating and carrying out network management and electrical operations in the 110 kV railway power grid, especially switchgear operations
  • You monitor voltage control and equipment load and carry out switchgear operations while adhering to all safety regulations
  • You are responsible for operating the network control system and network compensation
  • You place great importance on thorough documentation - you record irregularities and initiate the resolution of disruptions
  • You support load distribution, especially when using renewable generators
  • Optionally, we offer you training for the EEX energy exchange with spot trading certification
