Chenega Agile Real-Time Solutions (CARS) was created with the purpose of providing integrated enterprise IT support to Federal customers both CONUS and OCONUS.

CARS employs Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) with decades of experience working in the Federal marketplace.

Chenega is currently looking for a
Quality Assurance Specialist to join our growing team in Falls Church, VA. This is a hybrid role working 3 days remotely and 2 days on-site.


Responsibilities

  • Create, manage, and execute Quality Assurance activities in support of ongoing Agile web, PWA, and mobile development projects
  • Attend project kickoff meetings and planning sessions, providing feedback and insight from a quality assurance standpoint on features in development
  • Create and execute test plans and cases
  • Maintain and execute smoke and regression scripts to ensure that new code, functionality, or new releases have not introduced errors to existing functionality
  • Documentation and tracking of all test results following defined processes
  • Document manual tests as a repeatable process, providing continual improvement and refinement
  • Work closely with various members of the requirements, development, test, and deployment teams to develop, enhance, and maintain the necessary test artifacts, including test plans, test procedures, and test scripts for all releases of the software
  • Design, implement, and maintain automated testing processes with the other members of the testing automation team
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or a related field OR
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent and an additional 4+ years of experience
  • 2+ years of professional experience in software testing, including experience in the Agile/Scrum development lifecycle
  • 1+ years of experience with Selenium or another automated test suite
  • Background check required with the ability to obtain Public Trust

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of software testing techniques and technologies, including smoke/unit/regression, Integration Testing, Test Driven Development (TDD), and Automated testing
  • Strong analytical skills, organization, and attention to detail
  • Strong understanding of coding technologies: GitHub, HTML, Java, Selenium, TestNG, or JUnit
  • Strong understanding of mobile and web technologies and Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Experience using Issue, Test, and Project tracking Software such as JIRA, Confluence, and Zephyr Solid test planning skills, with a strong appreciation for the need to provide welldocumented test strategies, procedures, and results. Ability to write and execute acceptance tests and test cases
  • Knowledge of automation testing
  • Ability to write and execute automated test scripts to support an automation script library
  • Android and iOS app testing experience is highly desired
  • Ability to work independently and yet be effective within a team setting
  • Must be capable of managing multiple efforts with timerelated constraints in a fastpaced contracting environment
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals
  • Friendly presence, helpful attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications, and experience working in a home office setting as well as the ability to train end users on frequently asked technical issues.
  • Ability to provide technical assistance and support over the phone with good phone skills and a professional demeanor
  • Previous customer service experience is strongly desired
  • Good problemsolving skills with the ability to visualize a problem or situation and think abstractly to solve it
