We are looking for a part-time Game Master for our first room, _20,000 Leagues Under the Sea_.

We are also opening our second room soon, in which the Game Master will be an actor in the room.

We are looking for someone who wants to be a Game Master for both


About Us

• We're Austin's first and only literarythemed escape room.
• We're located in North Austin, just off N. Lamar, about 6 miles from UT.

About You

• We're seeking someone reliable, friendly, and willing (or better yet, eager) to wear a variety of hats and roll with the punches when necessary.
• Is excited to add some theatricality to the customer experience
• Bonus if you love escape rooms
• Available 812 hours a week, mostly nights and weekends
• Bonus if you have customer service experience
• Bonus if you're interested in helping to create and develop new escape rooms

Main Responsibilities
As the Game Master, you will essentially be running the office and managing the customers' experience.

• Greet guests and explain the rules before each game; help with customer photos and reset the room afterward
• Act in character at the beginning and end of the game (for one game), or throughout the entire game (for our upcoming game)
• Monitor the game throughout the hour and provide hints as necessary (this is not a role for someone looking for a lot of down time on the job)
• Occasionally handle bookings & payments

This role is perfect for students and freelancers, although we would love to find someone who might be interested in taking over as the full-time Game Master & Business Manager down the line, when we add more rooms to the mix It's also great for actors who want to hone their character work and voiceover skills, and for aspiring entrepreneurs interested in seeing (and helping) a small business grow from the ground floor.
