- Ability to layout equipment in 3-dimensional space with consistent accuracy
- Ability to layout benchmarks and points of reference
- Proficiency at reading CAD drawings through entire hierarchy from general arrangements to details
- Ability to weld, cut, and fabricate when needed
- Work will be outdoors
- Ability to travel within the US and abroad
- Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing work schedules

Job DescriptionThe Opportunity
We are seeking field service technicians who are experienced with the mechanical installation and repair of asphalt plant equipment. Applicants must be available to travel nationally and occasionally internationally.
Selected applicants will be involved in field installations, equipment repairs and plant start-ups. This role will routinely involve working with other field team members, contractors, engineers, and area sales representatives. Field responsibilities will include piping, component repair, equipment take-down and installation. Heavy lifting is required.
Applicant should be familiar with crane rigging and operating equipment like telehandlers to move equipment into location for installation. With varying skill sets on a job site, good troubleshooting skills are necessary. Many jobs are based on firm install-bids, therefore timely solutions are sought.
Another important aspect of the job is safety. The applicant will work hand in hand with the safety director for most jobs, and as such, will need to attend and pass the requirements for OSHA and MSHA training, CPR, and first aid. Other areas of safety to become trained in will include fire watch, confined spaces, and hazardous materials.
