Job Summary
- We are seeking a licensed and/or retired teacher with extensive experience teaching preK, kindergarten, and firstgrade students to join our innovative education consulting firm as an
Education Consultant specializing in delivering student workshops. - In this role, you will utilize your expertise to design and deliver engaging and interactive workshops for young learners, supporting their academic and socialemotional growth while fostering a love for learning.
Responsibilities
- Design ageappropriate activities, games, and projects that align with curriculum standards and promote active participation and skill development.
- Facilitate workshops inperson or virtually, using a variety of instructional techniques to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel safe, supported, and encouraged to take risks and explore new ideas.
- Incorporate handson experiences, group activities, and technology tools to enhance learning and engagement.
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to support individual growth and development.
- Collaborate with other educators and consultants to share best practices and continuously improve workshop offerings.
- Stay current with research and trends in early childhood education to inform workshop design and content.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Valid teaching license or certification in early childhood education with a specialization in kindergarten and/or first grade.
- Extensive experience (minimum 5 years) teaching kindergarten and/or firstgrade students in a classroom setting.
- Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate young learners.
- Creativity and innovation in designing engaging and effective learning experiences for students.
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners and create a supportive learning environment.
- Experience in workshop facilitation or teaching in informal education settings is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in technology tools for virtual instruction and workshop delivery.
Schedule
- Flexible schedule with workshops scheduled during weekdays and occasional weekends.
