Summary

Duties

Develop and implement a developmentally appropriate music curriculum for children ages Infant
Pre-K in our daycare program.
Conduct music classes that incorporate a variety of musical activities, including singing, playing instruments, movement, and listening exercises.
Introduce children to a diverse range of musical styles, genres, and cultures.
Provide individualized instruction to meet the needs and interests of each child.
Foster a positive and supportive learning environment where children feel encouraged to explore and express themselves through music.
Collaborate with daycare staff to integrate music into other areas of the curriculum, such as language arts, math, and science.
Organize and lead special music events, performances, and concerts for parents and families.
Maintain a safe and organized music space, ensuring that instruments and materials are properly stored and maintained.
Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress and involvement in the music program.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in music education, early childhood education, or a related field (preferred).
Proven experience working with young children in a daycare, preschool, or educational setting.
Proficiency in playing a variety of musical instruments, including but not limited to piano, guitar, percussion, and ukulele.
Strong musical skills, including sightreading, ear training, and music theory.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and connect with children, parents, and colleagues.
Creativity, enthusiasm, and a genuine love for working with young children.
Ability to plan and organize lessons effectively, incorporating ageappropriate activities and educational goals.
Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of children and accommodate changing schedules and priorities.
