The Mews Tavern is looking for a bartender to fill bar shifts in our pub and outdoor dining area. We are looking for a customer service focused individual who will leave guests wanting to come back. Experience is preferred but not required. If you are a hard working team player looking to grow with a popular local restaurant the Mews may be the place for you Training will start end of April to early May.

Bartender Job Description

:

We are looking for a qualified bartender who can provide our customers with an outstanding guest experience. The bartender must be able to meet all the needs of our customers, compelling them to come back again.

Making beverage recommendations based on the needs and preferences of bar customers is a crucial factor for improving guest drinking experience and our bar's profitability.

Communicating with guests in a professional and friendly manner is a must for excellent customer experience.

Responsibilities of a Bartender

:

Taking orders and serving drinks and snacks to bar customers
Preparing alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages
Mixing classic and innovative cocktails
Communicating with customers in a friendly and professional manner
Nurturing customers to provide an exceptional guest experience
Making menu recommendations based on customers' needs and preferences
Keeping the bar clean, stocked, and wellorganized
Checking customers' IDs to ensure they meet the legal drinking age

Bartender Job Requirements

:

Experience as a bartender
Knowledge of preparing and mixing beverages
Basic computer and math skills
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Professional and positive disposition
Ability to keep the bar clean, stocked and wellorganized
Flexibility and willingness to work in shifts
Tips certification required

The extensive menu offers locally sourced seafood, meat and produce which changes seasonally to keep things fresh and interesting.

The full menu can be enjoyed 7 days a week in all 3 bars plus a large dining room affectionately known as the \tree room.\ There is so much history packed into the Mews, and that's why people from all over check in whenever they're in town.
