    About the Role

    Grade Level: 11

    The Role: Managing Editor at S&P Global Commodity Insights, overseeing the Carbon Markets pricing team.

    The Team: S&P Global Commodity Insights is the leading provider of energy pricing, news, and analytics, seeking a Managing Editor (maternity cover) for the growing Carbon Markets pricing team.

    The Impact: This role is strategically important, leading a team of reporters to discover prices for verified carbon credits, supporting a transparent energy transition.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide Team Leadership: Drive news coverage, coach and mentor team members, and execute strategies aligned with energy transition goals.
    • Drive Methodological Excellence: Manage market feedback to ensure consistent methodology implementation in all price assessments.
    • Lead Stakeholder Engagement and Education: Act as a spokesperson for price discovery in carbon markets and collaborate with internal and external teams.

    What We're Looking For:

    Key qualifications:

    • Educated to degree level with at least three years of reporting, analysis, or editorial management experience.
    • Proven public speaking and management skills.
    • Curious, collaborative, and detail-oriented with an innovative mindset.

    Desirable:

    • Experience in commodity markets and/or environmental regulation.
    • Master's degree in a relevant area.

    The Location: London or Gurgaon

    Compensation/Benefits Information: Base salary ranges vary, along with eligibility for annual incentives and S&P Global benefits.
