    Your Role and Responsibilities


    Do you want to work on diverse projects that never get boring? Do you like to understand new inventions and technologies? Join our team and you'll explore IBM's patents and expand your technical skills while helping to monetize the portfolio through patent licensing and sales.


    In this role, you will be responsible for:

    • Reviewing patents and understanding the documented inventions.
    • Identifying patents that are relevant to a specific technology, company or product.
    • Creating materials for and presenting to clients.
    • Understanding software products, concepts and technologies.
    • Creating innovative strategies.
    • Providing guidance and leadership on patent matters.
    • Collaborating with the business units and key IBM technology leaders.
    Required Technical and Professional Expertise


    • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field
    • English, fluent (verbal and written)
    • Skills in software architecture, design, and concepts
    • Familiarity with patents, and the patent lifecycle
    Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise


    • BS Software Engineering or equivalent
    • 5 or more years in software development
    • Experience with patents
