Description
The training to become a construction mechanic at GMVA lasts a total of three and a half years. In addition to on-the-job training, apprentices must also attend classes at a vocational school and participate in inter-company training.

The apprentices will be taught the following tasks:

planning and preparing work tasks as a team, coordinating with other departments in the company, interpreting technical drawings and other documents, shaping and separating metal components using thermal processes, joining metal components and assemblies using various welding techniques, assembling and disassembling metal structures, maintaining and repairing machines and tools, and conducting quality control checks.

Desired qualifications include a secondary school diploma, good knowledge of math and physics, technical interest, manual dexterity, logical thinking, and the ability to work well in a team and with attention to detail.
