    Position: Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation Program Director

    Hours: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm (flexible hours possible and to be discussed during interview)

    Summary of Position: The Program Director oversees the clinical and administrative operations of Walker Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation Program. Responsible for establishing a robust early childhood mental health consultation model guiding the program's clinical framework and service provision. Additionally, in charge of recruiting, hiring, training, and managing the consultation staff. The Program Director also focuses on community relationship building, outreach, and collaboration with various centers and agencies for effective referral management. Act as the primary liaison with the Department of Early Education and Care, ensuring compliance with regulations and maintaining key relationships. Might provide direct consultation to different entities.

    Education and Licensure

    Required:

    • Master's degree in a mental health field like social work or psychology with a focus on early childhood development.
    • Licensed as an LICSW, LMHC, or PhD in Massachusetts.
    • Expertise in child development, early childhood mental health, and related areas.
    • Experience with diverse populations.

    Preferred:

    • Completion of specific training/certifications like CHILD and DECA-C Assessment.
    • Infant Mental Health Endorsement through MassAIMH.
    • Experience or pursuit of endorsement for Culturally-Sensitive, Relationship-Focused Practice Promoting Infant Mental Health®.

    Experience

    Required:

    • 5+ years of managerial and clinical experience in therapeutic settings for young children.
    • Ability in computer systems, communication, and supervision.

    Preferred:

    • Experience managing early childhood services, budgeting, and program growth.

    Abilities Required:

    • Proven ability to manage tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt in a changing environment.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficiency in Zoom, Microsoft Office, and other computer tools.
    • Capability to attend meetings and events in the community.

    Essential Functions:

    1. Lead a team supporting children's development.
    2. Supervise and manage program staff and interns.
    3. Support staff with program implementation and training.
    4. Oversee data collection and reporting.
    5. Facilitate meetings and training sessions.
    6. Ensure compliance with regulations and contract requirements.
    7. Provide consultation to stakeholders.
    8. Maintain relationships with referral sources.
    9. Attend to administrative tasks and attend meetings.
    10. Act as an ambassador for the organization.
    11. Participate in organizational initiatives.

    Supervision to be received: Biweekly supervision by the Senior Director of Behavioral Health and Community Services or designee.

    Supervision to be exercised: Supervision of staff and interns.
