- Lead project management and technical activities for a portfolio of USAID-funded projects
- Serve as primary client relationship manager for projects, working closely with Chief of Parties and clients to plan, execute, and troubleshoot issues that arise on projects
- Partner with Sectors to deliver on technical assignments
- Ensure efficient and compliant project management and budget management
- Ensure financial health of a portfolio of projects. including gross margin and profit margins being met/maximized and providing initial review and clearance of all PMU forecast updates prior to PDU Lead approval
- Build and leverage a network of colleagues, other development professionals, partners, and clients
- Navigate relationships including complex situations with clients and partners with professionalism and proactive problem-solving
- Mentor and supervise other PDU staff, including project field staff, as appropriate
- Serve as acting PDU Lead in their absence
- Provide technical support to the commercial team for key activities in his/her areas of technical focus
- Play key roles on BD efforts, as needed and directed by the Growth and Technical Services Team
- Other projects/tasks as applicable
- Masters degree in International Relations, Economics, Public Administration, Business Administration, or another relevant field
- 8 years of progressive experience in roles focused on project management in a global development context, preferably for USAID- and other USG-funded projects
- 6 years of technical experience in one or more of the following areas: private sector engagement, innovation, enterprise development, innovative finance, partnership development, natural resource management, economic growth, workforce development, youth, monitoring, evaluation, and learning, or other area specified by PDU Managing Director
- 3 years of experience designing, leading and managing technical assignments (assessments, research, training, implementation) in at least one of Resonances priority sectors
- Demonstrated track record in facilitating cross-sector collaboration, preferably for international companies, NGOs, donors, or foundations operating in a global setting
- Demonstrated experience effectively managing USAID-funded projects with little to no oversight
- Demonstrated emotional intelligence and ability to build strong collaborative relationships with a diverse range of colleagues, partners, and clients
- Previous staff management and mentoring experience
- 2 years of experience managing multiple workstreams effectively

The Senior Manager will play a critical leadership role in the Project Delivery Unit (PDU), supporting the leadership of the PDU and leading project management activities with an aim of delivering excellence to clients.
This is a full-time position reporting to the PDU Lead.The Senior Manager will serve as the primary point of contact with clients for the day-to-day implementation of USAID-funded projects, working closely with clients and partners to plan, implement, and troubleshoot issues that arise during project implementation.
The Senior Manager will supervise and mentor staff to deliver high-quality, adaptable project management services across a range of projects.
The Senior Manager may supervise staff members (Manager, Associate, Analyst, and/or Assistant).The Senior Manager will provide leadership and work closely with both the PDU and Sector Teams to ensure technical excellence is an integral part of project delivery.
A matrixed, and integrated relationship with the Sector Teams will enable the Manager to receive technical guidance and mentoring from Sector Team Directors on Resonances technical best practices.
They will establish ongoing communication and collaboration with the relevant members of the Sector teams to ensure technical alignment across project activities.
They may also support billable tasks on Resonances commercial team, as appropriate. They will be expected to contribute technically to projects within the PDU and/or Resonances commercial practice, as appropriate.Basic Education and Experience Requirements
