    Description


    The Process Engineer's job summary will include identifying areas for improvement, project management, maintaining high levels of manufacturing and product quality, as well as ensuring optimization of equipment and conformance to regulatory standards.

    Responsibilities
    Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching testing methods, and conferring with equipment vendors
    Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
    Assist the operations team with process and equipment troubleshooting
    Optimize manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, facility layouts, and production lines.
    Provide training for staff with new and existing processes
    Ensure that manufacturing procedures follow safety and environmental regulations
    Manage Greenfield and Brownfield projects
    Prepare and compose Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), FAT, SAT and Validation documentation
    Understanding and providing input to the asset life cycle and obsolescence strategy
    Working closely with suppliers on the design and purchase of new equipment and modifications to existing systems
    Creating and updating electrical schematics, specifications, software, and documentation
    Develop technical documentation, training manuals, and standard operating procedures; conduct training classes for system users
    Work on concurrent projects in different stages of completion along with troubleshooting and commissioning of vendor built assemblies
    Responsible for optimizing the production systems/process during the shift
    Develop, test and install PLC and control software as part of a highly automated, complex, high volume 24/7 validated production environment
    Supporting skilled trades with breakdowns and troubleshooting of existing equipment
    Working with process engineers, operations, and skilled trades to improve existing equipment and design/install new equipment capabilities
    Use engineering skills and tools to design, test, and implement small control system upgrades
    Qualifications

    Degree in engineering discipline (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical, or Chemical) BS
    5 +year experience with PLC in a manufacturing background
    Excellent planning, project management and leadership skills with proven problem solving skills
    Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to effectively lead technical project teams to achieve project goals
    Advanced PC skills (i.e. hardware modification / replacement)
    Hands on experience building & commissioning high quality electrical control panels & electro-mechanical systems
    Experience with designing control systems and programming software systems that interface with the plant
    Experience as a hands-on Controls Engineer or Robotics Engineer working on automation and/or electromechanical systems
    Proven programming ability in RS Logix 5000/500 is a requirement
    Experience modeling with 3D CAD software
    Prior manufacturing or development of process control and instrument engineering experience
    Solid understanding of common manufacturing processes and machines
    Experience working with AutoCad, understanding of electrical schematics and circuitry
