    Job Title: Controls Engineer

    Salary: $120,000+

    A Controls Engineering opportunity at an incredible company based in MA focused on advancing battery manufacturing technologies. The company aims to revolutionize the lithium-ion battery manufacturing process by providing turn-key equipment solutions to battery cell manufacturers globally. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting control systems in industrial settings.

    Responsibilities:

    • Design and develop PLC programs for automation and controls systems.
    • Configure and program SCADA systems for monitoring and supporting technology development.
    • Develop HMIs to support R&D and process development functions.
    • Collaborate with process development and design engineers to define system specifications.
    • Implement control strategies to optimize production processes and equipment efficiency.
    • Coordinate with external equipment vendors to align controls development strategy.
    • Conduct testing and validation of control systems to ensure reliability and functionality.
    • Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise for deployed equipment.
    • Participate in commissioning and start-up activities for new projects.
    • Document control system designs, configurations, and procedures.
    • Support SQL database systems for data storage and retrieval.
    • Utilize Python (or other applicable software) for scripting, data analysis, and automation tasks.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial controls and automation.
    • Familiarity with industrial control networks and field devices.
    • Understanding of industrial communication protocols.
    • Proficiency in SCADA software platforms (preferably Ignition).
    • Familiarity with HMI development and interface design.
    • Knowledge of regulatory standards and safety protocols for industrial automation.
    • Demonstrated experience in problem-solving with technical solutions.
    • Experience engaging with vendors and utilizing remote technical support.
    • Experience working with SQL databases.
    • Proficiency in Python programming for scripting and automation tasks.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
    • Effective communication skills for collaborations with stakeholders.
    • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant engineering field.
