    Role Overview

    We are seeking a Clinical Laboratory Trainer-Histology to lead training initiatives for new and current employees in our clinical laboratory. In this role, you will collaborate with operational and training leaders to ensure the histology department is equipped with well-trained team members who meet competency standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide and document comprehensive training for new hires in compliance with regulations.
    • Deliver in-person and virtual training sessions for lab staff, including retraining for errors, skill enhancement for promotions, and introduction of new processes or technologies.
    • Create training materials and conduct direct observations to assess performance.
    • Schedule and coordinate training sessions, administer exams, and maintain accurate training records.
    • Offer expertise to assess learning needs, adjust training plans, and ensure competency across the team.
    • Support the lab teams with hands-on assistance and additional duties as assigned.
    • Adhere to company values, uphold quality standards, and promote a culture of inclusivity and teamwork.
    • Meet scheduling requirements and be able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends if necessary.
    • Fulfill physical demands associated with the role and follow safety protocols in the laboratory setting.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Hold a Bachelor's Degree or Associate's Degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution.
    • Have at least 1 year of experience in providing instructor-led training and 2+ years of laboratory experience.
    • Possess strong knowledge of laboratory practices, regulations, and terminology, including histology expertise.
    • Demonstrate proficiency in computer skills and the ability to perform essential job duties independently.
    • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in a mentorship or leadership role, familiarity with laboratory information management systems, and exposure to molecular laboratory techniques.
    • Knowledge of Next Generation Sequencing and relevant certifications is a plus.
