- Assist in the design, development, and implementation of automated systems for various manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand process requirements and identify opportunities for automation.
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for proposed automation projects.
- Participate in the selection, installation, and commissioning of automation equipment and systems.
- Develop and maintain documentation including system specifications, operating procedures, and training materials.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to automation systems in a timely manner.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by analyzing process data and identifying areas for optimization.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards in all automation activities.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends in automation and process engineering.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to source components and equipment for automation projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with automation technologies such as PLCs, SCADA systems, robotics, and motion control.
- Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in automation, such as ladder logic, structured text, or Python.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Prior internship or co-op experience in automation or process engineering is a plus.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and principles is preferred.
- Experience with CAD software for designing automation systems is advantageous.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
