Description

Responsibilities:


Installation and Maintenance:

  • Install, configure, and maintain low voltage systems, including but not limited to various cable that includes twisted pair cable fiber optic, coax, as well as other low voltage cable.
  • Install cable pathway's of various types and buildout telecom closets.
  • Ensure proper cabling, termination, and connection of low voltage components according to industry standards and project specifications.

Troubleshooting:

  • Diagnose and resolve issues with low voltage systems efficiently.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential problems and proactively address them to minimize downtime.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with Project Managers, Customers, and other team members to ensure successful project completion.

Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and additional work performed.
  • Create and update technical documentation, including wiring diagrams and asbuilts.
  • Upload test results.

Customer Service:

  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and expectations.
  • Provide clear explanations and demonstrations of low voltage systems to clients.
  • Compliance
  • Adhere to relevant codes, standards, and regulations governing low voltage systems.
  • Keep uptodate with industry trends and advancements to ensure compliance and best practices.

Qualifications:


  • Proven experience as a Low Voltage Technician or a similar role.
  • Knowledge of low voltage systems, protocols, and equipment.
  • Familiarity with industry codes and standards.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently or as a part of a team.
  • Physical fitness and agility for installation and maintenance tasks.
  • Valid Driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to operate a computer proficiently.
  • Willingness to travel.

Education and Certifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Relevant certifications in low voltage systems (e.g., BICSI, NICET) are a plus.
