    Job Summary

    Watchwith is the Content Data Services team responsible for supporting video experiences that deliver audience engagement, commerce, and new forms of advertising. Our focus is to make Comcast-backed platforms the best way to enjoy video content from our premium program partners and to help drive innovation in our entertainment products. We combine advanced metadata services, voice, and third-party integrations to enable engaging video experiences on modern IP delivery platforms as well as the legacy set-top box. Our team plays an important part in the evolution of Comcast's video platform.

    Recently we have taken on responsibility for the APIs used to match incoming metadata from TV networks and providers to a baseline source. This service is built using Solr indexes, but it is our goal to incorporate AI/ML improvements into the core matching algorithms to improve accuracy and provide a more reliable metadata matching service for the organization.

    As a member of the Watchwith/Content Data Services engineering team you will be responsible for developing, deploying, and maintaining core software services and tools built to support our interactive, time-based, and matching features. These services are available to the full range of Comcast client platforms. Your responsibilities will include: designing and writing software, working through integration and testing to deployment, providing support for our JSON/REST api-based applications, incorporating build and platform standards, and maintaining a consistent focus on availability and security.

    Job Description

    Core Responsibilities
    Defines application programming interface requirements and service integration touchpoints.
    Partners with quality assurance to document integration and test plan.
    Follows software development life cycle to implement new features.
    Creates integration tests that run with every code commit.
    Develops automation of service consumption.
    Develops and iterates on configuration parameters to allow software and services to best meet system needs.
    Builds out monitoring and alerting for live application programming interfaces and services.
    Repairs, restores, and repaves backend services.
    Maintains operation stability and corporate standards.
    Delivers security team requirements to secure and harden.
    Documents and maintains defects and enhancements in the company issue management system.
    Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
    Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.

    Compensation

    This job can be performed in California with a Pay Range of $91, $155,518.94

    Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a Commission under the terms of an applicable plan, while most non-sales positions are eligible for a Bonus.     Education

    Bachelor's Degree (Required) While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.
