Job Summary and Qualifications:

Competently delivers and documents nursing care to the OB/GYN patient population.
Initiates and documents patient teaching including family and/or significant others. Uses appropriate Patient Education documentation modality.
Ensures personal and departmental safety and readiness to respond to emergencies.
Demonstrates knowledge of gyn and general surgery patients, antepartum, and postpartum patients; and completes all assessments and appropriate interventions according to the unit standards for patients who range in age from menses to geriatric.
Performs clinical nursing duties according to unit standards and policies and procedures.
Demonstrates effective decision making and leadership relative to experience level.

Qualifications

Required: Previous OB/GYN or Women's Health Experience
Preferred: Previous management or leadership experience
Current licensure as an RN
Current certification as a BLS Healthcare Provider
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
