- Daily overtime if shift exceeds 12 hours

- Starting Pay rate: Market comparable (Depending on Qualifications)

- Provide quality patient care for clinical operating guidelines and policies, protocols, and accepted standards of care.
- Maintains comprehensive electronic client files, which include client notes, the release of information, assessments and other medical documents acquired on behalf of the client.
- Complete patient care reports promptly per Oregon State law company protocols and guidelines.
- Attend all mandated company training functions and required education for the program and company as assigned. (Initial and Ongoing)
- Builds and maintains positive working relationships with clients, Allied health providers, nurse case managers, agency representatives, supervisors, and office staff from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds to provide quality patient care.
- Interact with patients, families, team members and community partners professionally and courteously.
- Maintains the ability to understand, utilize, and efficiently integrate technology for longitudinal patient assessment. Including clinical interventions, physician consults via telehealth, and data collection related to MIH.
- Understands and follows company procedures.
- Education: Associate degree in Paramedicine or equivalent education and experience required to obtain an Oregon Paramedic license. A bachelor's in health, human services, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Two (2) years' experience as a Paramedic on a 911 transporting ambulance or equivalent community health experience. Previous critical care, training or instructor experience preferred. A behavioral health or mental health education background is preferred.
- Certifications or Licenses:
- Oregon Paramedic License.
- Nationally Registered Paramedic certification. If not Nationally Registered Paramedic certified, provide proof of continuing education matching Nationally Registered Paramedic standards and requirements at recertification times.
- Oregon Driver's License.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS or PEPP certifications. Required to obtain eighteen (18) months of start date in position.
- Instructor Certification in ACLS, PEPP or related Pediatric course: ITLS or PHTLS, AMLS preferred.
- CHW is Required to obtain twelve (12) months of start date in the position.
- Community Paramedic (CP) certification through IBSC is preferred.

Job DescriptionMercy Flights is accepting applications for a Full-Time MIH Provider (Paramedic).
The MIH-Paramedic works as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing proactive and post-hospital visits. This MIH-Paramedic is responsible for facilitating the continuation of care in-home, patient assessments, and clinical and social screenings. Providing clinical interventions, patient education and other outreach. This position requires the MIH-Paramedic to work independently and as a multidisciplinary team member to provide the best patient care in a non-traditional setting. To perform this job successfully, employees must be able to perform all core job duties listed below satisfactorily and meet performance measures listed by Mercy Flight.
