Sherwood is one of the most diverse employers in Germany. Every year, we are looking for over 5,000 apprentices in 50 different professions who want to grow and improve with us.

Starting on September 1st, 2024, we are looking for you to join our 3-year apprenticeship program as a track builder or civil engineering specialist (m/f/d) for DB InfraGO AG at our locations in Hanau or Mainz. The vocational school is located in Frankfurt for the first year and then in Ludwigshafen. The training workshop is also located in Ludwigshafen.
What to expect during your apprenticeship:
  • You will work with your team on construction sites, maintaining our railway tracks
  • Together, you will work on tracks and switches, inspecting them for any faults and replacing damaged parts
  • You will renew the stones and gravel layers under the tracks - modern machines will make your work easier
  • To ensure a smooth train ride, you will always pay attention to precise measurements
  • After your apprenticeship, you will be an essential part of the team, responsible for ensuring the safe and smooth journey of all passengers
Your profile:
  • You have (or will soon have) successfully completed school
  • Office work is not for you - you prefer to work outdoors
