Duties:


You will service as an Information Technology Specialist (IT) in the Insider Threat Division of the USCG Counterintelligence Service, responsible for the management of all IT functions and services related to the daily operation, maintenance and enhancement of the unique hardware and software that support the mission of the USCG Insider Threat Program.

This includes daily analytics, business metrics, and the management of information exchange amongst multiple security domain enterprise networks and the Authorization Officials who govern them.

Typical work assignments include:

  • Providing executive level advice and assistance to senior management on a variety of IT development, integration and policy matters.
  • Performing duties and special functions in planning, organizing, guiding, improving and controlling the unique hardware, software and information management requirements to maintain pace with emergent technological and cyber requirements.

Qualifications:


To qualify for the GS-14 grade level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the federal service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.

The Office of Personnel management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees.

Selectee(s) for this position who are newly appointed to a permanent position are authorized to receive a one-time recruitment incentive of 10% of the salary, including locality for this position.

Receipt of the bonus will require a 12 month service agreement.

All Federal employees are required to have Federal salary payments made by direct deposit.
