Curator, Entomology

The NHMLAC's entomology collection is one of the institution's largest, and has approximately 6 million specimens of insects, spiders, and other terrestrial arthropods.

It is also the largest collection of its kind in Southern California with specimens from all over the world.

It is particularly strong in its holdings of ants, phorid flies, scarab beetles, and moths from North and Central America; and also includes a large and growing collection of arthropods in Cenozoic and Mesozoic amber, currently numbering approximately 3,000 pieces.

This is a full-time position with a salary and title (Assistant or Associate Curator) commensurate with experience.
