Mechanical Designer - Aerospace and Defense

Ingenium Technologies - Rockford, IL

Position Purpose
Create 3D models of complex aerospace components and assemblies. Update and refine models based on iterative reviews with engineering team and customers. Work closely with stress, manufacturing and other engineers to refine design for release to detailing. Use appropriate Geometric Dimension & Tolerancing methodologies to validate model geometry. Coordinate activities with project engineer and senior design engineers. Create detail, subassembly, and assembly drawings per appropriate standards.
Education or Formal Training
Associates Degree preferred. Equivalent appropriate design engineering experience considered.
Software
Solidworks
Experience Required
5-10 years experience aerospace mechanical design experience using SolidWorks design software. 5-10 years experience design and detail experience of complex mechanical assemblies and components. Experience with configuration control, revision management and change incorporation. Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Compensation: 6-12 Month Contract, Remote Work Eligible
