    Job DescriptionMinimum 1+ years special education experience required.

    We are partnering with a schoolin the Springfield City, Ohioarea to finda full-timeSpecial Education Teacher (SPED) for the school year.If you are a passionate educator looking for a new position, we encourage you to apply and join our Special Education team We are looking for an onsite Intervention Specialist to work with our students with a variety of needs.

    Position Details:

    • 08/12/ /21/2025
    • Full-time / 37.5 hours perweek
    • Multiple caseloads available, PreK - 8th grade, students on caseload
    • Pay Range: $30 - $50 per hour, depending on previous experience

    Requirements:

    • Must have a valid Ohio Teaching Certificatewith a Special Education endorsement
    • Must have Bachelors or Masters Degree in Special Education, or related field
    • Previous experience working with Special Education students preferred, but not required
    • Strong understanding of special education laws, IEP development, and behavior management strategies.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
    • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
    • Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
    • Provide direct instruction and support to students in both inclusive and self-contained settings.
    • Use data-driven decision-making to assess student progress and adjust interventions as needed.
    • Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and other staff to support inclusive practices and differentiated instruction.
    • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on student progress and involve them in the educational process.
    • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress, review IEPs, and plan interventions.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress, IEP goals, and other relevant documentation.
    • Stay current with best practices and advancements in special education and apply this knowledge to improve student outcomes.
