Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer for one of our clients in Jacksonville. This is a remote position, but the candidate must be based in Germany.

Responsibilities

Take ownership and implement new features and improvements into our API
Enhance your knowledge to implement product requirements or performance optimizations
Understand existing code and rework it to meet coding standards
Collaborate with the Tech Lead to make architectural decisions
Influence team processes and conventions through regular retrospectives

Requirements

Residing in Europe
Passionate about coding with at least 5 years of experience (especially with: express) (bonus points for experience with: redis, worker (bull queue), copilot, clickhouse, open api specs, jest)
Extensive knowledge of Typescript
Proficient with SQL databases, particularly in optimizing for performance (preferably MySQL)
Experience with infrastructure management, specifically the AWS stack (EB, load balancer), unix/linux
Experience with docker/kubernetes is a plus
Knowledge of performance optimization for databases (MySQL), code, and tests/CI
Must work in a test-driven manner, experience with jest is preferred
