The drug consumption room Niddastrasse of the Integrative Drug Aid e. V.

is located directly in the Frankfurt train station district and is used by drug users in an acute phase of addiction and in extremely poor health.

Here, they can consume their illegal substances under hygienic conditions. The staff of the consumption room are constantly present and can react quickly in crisis situations. The scene-related, harm-reducing work concept is focused on health prophylaxis and survival assistance.

In addition to hygienic consumption options and needle exchange, the affected individuals are informed about topics such as safer use and safer sex, and educated about transmission routes and risks of infectious diseases.

In case of drug emergencies, the staff initiate first aid measures.

The specially trained staff of the consumption room actively promote the motivation for change of drug users and initiate first steps according to their needs.
