Duties:

he major duties of the Interdisciplinary General Engineering /Landscape Architecture /Architecture / Civil Engineering /Mechanical Engineering Project Manager position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Project Management
  • Involved and an responsible for the full range of project management from planning and design, exectuion, project performance, and closeout. Emphasis on project formulation, pre-design, design, value-based decision-making, and development of design and construction documents.
  • Contracting officers representative, contracting support
  • Provide assistance to the Contracting Officer by developing a design scope of services, including informton on scoping an pre=design. Prepares independent government estimate of costs. Serve as the COR during design.


  • General Program Support

  • Perform other duties is support of the Division, including committees, reporting requirements, training, and program formulation.

  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Meet Selective Service Registration Act requirement for males.
  • Selectee will be required to participate in the Direct Deposit Electronics Funds Transfer Program.
  • You will be required to operate a government (or private) motor vehicle as part of your official duties; a valid driver's license is required. You will be required to submit a Motor Vehicle Operator's License and Driving Record. You must also submit (within a State sealed envelope or submitted directly by the State authorities), and at your own expense, all certified driving records from all States that disclose all valid driver's licenses, whether current or past, possessed by you.
  • You will be required to wear a uniform and comply with the National Park Service uniform standards. A uniform allowance will be provided.
  • You may be required to work oncall, evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime and shift work.
  • If you are a new employee or supervisor in the Federal government, you will be required to complete a oneyear probationary period.
  • You may be required to complete training and obtain/maintain a government charge card with travel and/or purchase authority.
  • Applicants must be at least (1)18 years old or (2) at least 16 years old and: (a) Have graduated from high school or been awarded a certificate equivalent to graduating from high school; or (b) Have completed a formal vocational training program; or (c) Have received a statement from school authorities agreeing with their preference for employment rather than continuing their education; or (d) Be currently enrolled in a secondary school and either work only during school vacation periods or work parttime during the school year under a formal student employment program.

To be acceptable, the program must:
(1) lead to a bachelor's degree in a school of engineering with at least one program accredited by ABET; or (2) include differential and integral calculus and courses (more advanced than first-year physics and chemistry) in five of the following seven areas of engineering science or physics: (a) statics, dynamics; (b) strength of materials (stress-strain relationships); (c) fluid mechanics, hydraulics; (d) thermodynamics; (e) electrical fields and circuits; (f) nature and properties of materials (relating particle and aggregate structure to properties); and (g) any other comparable area of fundamental engineering science or physics, such as optics, heat transfer, soil mechanics, or electronics.

Degree: landscape architecture or landscape design.

Combination of education and experience - for each year short of graduation, the applicant must have had 1 year of experience under professional leadership and guidance of such character and diversity as to be a satisfactory substitute for the required education. This experience must have included original landscape design.


Architect-808:

Degree: architecture; or related field that included 60 semester hours of course work in architecture or related disciplines of which at least semester
