    The Division of Pediatric Neurology, Department of Pediatrics, with Children's Healthcare of Atlanta) is looking for an Epilepsy Program Director to join our academic/clinical team at an Associate Professor/Professor level.


    The successful candidate will be a key leader in our Epilepsy Center, overseeing our epilepsy and neurophysiology programs, with a keen eye for quality and future program growth as well as an interest in epilepsy clinical research.

    Epileptologists participate in the teaching of neurology residents and epilepsy fellows as well as staffing a 12 bed Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, Fast Access Neurology clinics and reading LTVM/EEG studies.

    Children's Epilepsy Program has several epilepsy subspecialty clinical programs including ketogenic diet, genetic epilepsy, infantile spasms/epileptic encephalopathy, psychogenic non epileptic events (PNEE) and epilepsy surgery.


    The Pediatric Neurosciences Program at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta is ranked 1st in the Southeast and one of the top 20 programs in the USA by USN&WR.

    It is one of the largest programs in the country, handling more than 2,400 pediatric neurological inpatient cases and performing over 1,400 neurosurgeries (including over 50 epilepsy surgeries) each year.


    Candidates must be board certified or eligible in pediatric neurology and the subspecialty of Epilepsy and must demonstrate excellent qualifications in education and clinical care.

    Academic rank will be commensurate with experience and training.

    Preferred Qualifications


    • Experience in respective clinical area
    • Proficient in interpreting EEGs and Long-Term Video Monitoring
    Education


    • Graduate of an accredited, four-year medical school
    • Graduate of an accredited, post-graduate residency program in Pediatrics
    • Graduate of an accredited, post graduate fellowship program in Epilepsy
    Certification Summary


    • Board Eligible/Board certified
    • Licensed to practice medicine in the state of Georgia
    • Current DEA registration
    • BLS certification is required. PALS certification
