Description
Job Summary:
The Associate Medical Director plays a vital role in ensuring the delivery of integrated comprehensive primary care services in the ambulatory care setting.
Collaborating closely with the Medical Director, this individual fosters a culture of excellence, patient safety, and continuous improvement throughout the health system.
Responsibilities:

Clinical Leadership: Support and guide healthcare providers to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. Ensure adherence to established performance standards and regulations while promoting a culture of excellence.

Provider Leadership and Engagement: Assist in recruiting, orienting, and evaluating clinical staff. Provide ongoing education, feedback, and professional development opportunities to support and mentor healthcare providers.

Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the Medical Director to develop and implement strategic initiatives aligned with departmental goals. Contribute to the establishment and update of clinical policies and procedures.

Quality Improvement: Assist in leading quality improvement projects to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency. Demonstrate adherence to established performance standards and regulatory requirements.

Population Health Management: Work with the population health team to develop and implement programs improving community health. Supervise the Outreach Team to achieve excellence in ambulatory care quality measures.

Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate with departments to ensure coordinated care for patients, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration

Compliance and Regulation: Assist the Medical Director to ensure compliance in the ambulatory care setting with regulatory standards, policies, and procedures including but not limited to areas related to Patient Safety, Risk Management, Incident and Occurrence Reporting, Infection Control, and Patient Experience. Develop, monitor, and evaluate clinical policies and procedures to comply with laws and regulations. Assist with PCMH recertification and participate in HRSA site visits.

Community Outreach: Engage with community stakeholders to promote health education and preventive care, raising awareness of available services.

Relationship Management: Establish and maintain positive relationships with patients, visitors, and employees, fostering a positive public perception of the health system.

Patient Care: Provide direct outpatient care and contribute to the evaluation and feasibility of health service expansions. Assist in managing Remote Patient Monitoring programs.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in ambulatory care settings.
- Previous leadership or management experience required.
- Unrestricted license to practice in the State of New York
- Board Certified
- Doctor (MD or DO) in Medicine
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to health equity and addressing social determinants of health.
Pay:
$283,500.00 per year
