    PrideStaff Financial is working with an industry leader in construction in search of an Assistant Controller who will be responsible for the development and administration of the accounting systems, practices, controls and procedures. The Assistant Controller will report directly to the Controller and have responsibility supervising an accounting team of 3 staff members. The ideal candidate will have 3 years of construction industry experience and exhibit excellent time management, superior leadership and communication.     Assistant Controller Duties & Responsibilities:
    • Oversee Daily Accounting Functions Including Accounts Payable & General Accounting
    • Review & Correct General Ledger Entries as Well as Review Monthly Journal Entries, Reports & Financial Statements
    • Assist The CFO With Ongoing Budgets & Cash Flows at The Global TLC Level
    • Prepare Monthly Journal Entries, Work Papers, & Financial Statements For Assigned Entities Including Personal Financial Records of The Owner & Various Trusts as Directed
    • Assist in the Administration & Development ofThe Accounting Systems, Practices, Controls & Procedures Which Include Maintenance of The Computerized Accounting System
    • Enforce & Monitor The Effectiveness of Internal Controls For All Systems
    • Review Cost Accounting ,Budget Variances & Financial Statements
    • Produce Monthly Financial & Non-Financial Reports & Review All Tax Returns Prepared by a 3rd Party CPA
    • Support Controller /CFO With Special Projects & Workflow Process Improvements
    • Oversee & Direct AP Administrator & Project & Senior Accountants
    • Adhere to All State & Federal Law For Financial Reporting
    • Assist With Addition Accounting Functions as Needed
    Assistant Controller Requirements & Qualifications:
    • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
    • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance or Economics Strongly Preferred
    • 3+ Years of Related Experience Required in a Similar Role
    • Demonstrates Excellent Written & Oral Communication Skills
    • Must be Able to Interpret Graphs & Charts & as Well as Write Complex Reports
    • Solid Computer Proficiency With MS Outlook, Google, Excel, PowerPoint & Accounting Software
    • Demonstrates Excellent Attention to Detail, Problem Solving & Multitasking Skills
